Comedian Chikkanna Summoned by Cops for Questioning in Actor Darshan Case

Renukaswamy was allegedly murdered on June 8, and the police have already arrested 19 individuals, including prominent Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his friend Pavithra Gowda.

Chikkanna, aged 37, is being questioned because he was reportedly with Darshan on the night of the crime. According to police sources, the interrogation aims to ascertain Chikkanna's knowledge of the case and any information he might possess. "It's only for questioning as of now. We want to know whether he (Chikkanna) knew about the case and the information he has," a police source told PTI.

Sources suggest that the motive behind Renukaswamy's murder stemmed from alleged obscene messages she sent to Pavithra Gowda on social media, which reportedly angered Darshan.
