‘Bhairathi Ranagal’: Shivarajkumar’s next with Narthan goes on floors

It's great to hear that Shivarajkumar's Bhairathi Ranagal has been officially launched! Directed by Narthan, this film serves as a prequel to Narthan's debut movie Mufti, which was released in 2017.

Bhairathi Ranagal will be produced by Shivarajkumar's wife, Geetha Shivarajkumar, under the banner Geetha Pictures. The launch event was attended by Shivarajkumar's daughter Niveditha and the crew members of the film.

Shivarajkumar's portrayal of a crime boss in Mufti was highly appreciated and well-received by the audience, which inspired Narthan to write a prequel based on the character. In the Tamil remake of Mufti, titled Pathu Thala, actor Silambarasan reprised Shivarajkumar's character. Mufti, produced by Jayanna-Bhogendra and starring Sriimurali in the lead role, turned out to be a box-office success.

Ravi Basrur will compose music for Bhairathi Ranagal while Naveen Kumar has been roped in as the cinematographer. J Shivakumar (Vikrant Rona, KGF: Chapter 2) will be the art director. The film’s shoot will begin in June. Shivarajkumar is also working on music composer Arjun Janya’s directorial debut titled 45, which also stars Upendra and Raj B Shetty.

Fans of Shivarajkumar and the Mufti franchise will be eagerly looking forward to Bhairathi Ranagal to see how the story unfolds in the prequel.
