Bagheera, a highly anticipated Kannada superhero film starring Sriimurali, is set to make its digital debut on Netflix. The movie, directed by Dr. Suri, has already garnered attention for its unique premise and stellar performances, and now it's poised to reach a wider audience through its streaming release.
Released theatrically on October 31, 2024, Bagheera marks a significant step forward for Kannada cinema, especially with Netflix stepping in as the streaming partner. This move is particularly notable as Netflix has been reluctant to feature Kannada films in the past. However, with the film's collaboration with Hombale Films and Prashanth Neel’s involvement as a concept creator, the deal represents a major breakthrough for the industry.

The film follows Sriimurali as a gold-medal-winning IPS officer who turns into a vigilante, taking justice into his own hands when his attempts to fight corruption are thwarted by the system. Visually compared to Batman, Bagheera offers a grounded, thrilling narrative with strong performances from Sriimurali and other notable actors like Rukmini Vasanth and Prakash Raj.
This digital release promises to bring Bagheera to audiences worldwide, with the date yet to be confirmed, following an impressive run at the box office.
