Puneeth Rajkumar – Rashmika Mandanna get an average rating of 3.0 out of 5 by critics
Anjaniputra is an action drama which is a remake of 2014 Tamil film Poojai starring Vishal in the lead role. Director A. Harsha has made justice in retaining the sentiments of the original version. The film is about Viraj (Puneeth Rajkumar) who is a moneylender in a market. He stays away from his family due to a small misunderstanding. Puneeth Rajkumar once again plays a character that worships his mother played by Ramya Krishnan. Rashmika Mandanna plays his lady love. Due to circumstances, his path crosses with Bhairava, a mafia kingpin. How he takes revenge with Bhairava is the crux of the story. Like any other typical commercial flicks, this too carries a lot of action drama which you will feel a bit too much in the course. But Puneeth Rajkumar somehow manages to retain his charm and keeps the audience engaged. Below are the highlights of reviews from some major sources. Times Of India: 2.5 out of 5 by Sunayana Suresh “Puneeth Rajkumar is his earnest best, dancing, singing, fighting and romancing just like the fans want him too.” Filmibeat: 3.0 out of 5 by Mayur Javali “A decent one time watch for the family audience and a power packed feast for the fans of Powerstar.” Bangalore Mirror: 3.0 out of 5 by Shyam Prasad “Anjaniputra is Dodmane Hudga and Rajakumara in parts.”
