The much-anticipated cinematic retelling of the ancient Indian epic 'Ramayana,' directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, has garnered even more excitement with the addition of renowned actor Yash as a co-producer.
Confirming Yash's involvement as a co-producer, reports from Zoom indicate that although initially offered the role of Ravan, Yash chose to join the project as a producer instead.
Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays the iconic character of Ram, has not only committed to his role as a producer but has also dedicated himself to embodying the purity and essence of Ram's character. It is reported that Kapoor has refrained from consuming alcohol and meat to align himself with the spiritual and virtuous portrayal of Lord Ram.
However, the production of 'Ramayana' faced initial setbacks when leaked images surfaced, revealing the cast's costumes and character designs. In response, director Nitesh Tiwari has reportedly implemented strict measures, including a no-phone policy on set, to prevent further unauthorized leaks and maintain the project's secrecy and integrity.
Scheduled for a grand release in the latter half of 2025, the film has already generated widespread interest, particularly after lead actor Ranbir Kapoor shared insights into his rigorous preparation regimen. With Yash's venture into production, alongside the stellar ensemble cast led by Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, 'Ramayana' promises to be a magnificent epic drama that captivates audiences with its grandeur and authenticity.
