Varun Dhawan is ‘Zafar’ in Karan Johar’s Kalank: First Look

Karan Johar’s Kalank is the most talked about the upcoming release. And now the first look of Varun Dhawan’s character is released.

Varun Dhawan’s character is named Zafar. As the poster shows, the actor is in intense kohl-eyed look.

This is the first time we are getting to see Varun Dhawan sporting kohl-eyes on screen, much similar to how Ranveer Singh did as Khilji in Padmaavat.

Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank is a period drama set in the 1940s'.

It also stars Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles.

Previously, Karan had shared a tease from Kalank which by the looks of it, seemed like a glimpse of Alia's look.

Kalank is all set to release on April 17, 2019. The trailer will be out soon.
