The film is directed by the original Drishyam which was made in Malayalam starring Mohanlal. the film draws its inspiration from the Spanish thriller El Cuerpo and is all set to hit the theatres on December 13, 2019.
The trailer of Rishi Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi starrer The Body releases today and the actors are all set to give us an adrenaline rush as they solve a murder mystery.
After 11 long months of a sabbatical, Rishi Kapoor is all set to mark his comeback on the silver screen with his upcoming crime thriller The Body. The film also stars Emraan Hashmi, Sobhita Dhulipala and Vedhika. It features Emraan as a widower whose wife's body disappears from the morgue. While he is the prime suspect for her murder, Emraan must find out the whereabouts of his wife as Rishi Kapoor is bent on making a strong interrogation.
The makers of the film had earlier unveiled its poster, adding an eerie element to the film as we saw a wine glass spilling blood on the floor. Another poster continued to build up suspense showing a lady's legs placed on the edge of a bathtub and a number tag from the morgue attached to her finger.
Helmed by Malayalam director Jeethu Joseph who is known for writing and directing the original Drishyam, the film draws its inspiration from the Spanish thriller El Cuerpo and is all set to hit the theatres on December 13, 2019, which also marks the spooky date Friday the 13th on our calendar.
