Supreme Court to Screen Laapataa Ladies; Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao to Attend

Kiran Rao’s directorial film, Laapataa Ladies, will be screened at the Supreme Court of India on August 9, 2024. The screening will be attended by the director Kiran Rao, and producer Aamir Khan, who will also engage with the audience afterward.

According to a notice, the Chief Justice of India, along with other judges and their spouses, will be present at the screening. The film is scheduled to be shown from 4:15 pm to 6:20 pm, following court hours, with an interaction session with Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao afterward.

The notice stated, “As part of the activities organized during the seventy-fifth year of the establishment of the Supreme Court of India, the movie Laapataa Ladies, which is based on the theme of gender equality, will be screened on Friday, August 9, 2024, in the Auditorium, C-Block, Administrative Building Complex. Ms. Kiran Rao, who has directed the movie, and Mr. Aamir Khan, Producer, will also be present during the screening.”

Laapataa Ladies stars Nitashi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, and Sparsh Shrivastava in lead roles, with Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam, and Geeta Aggarwal Sharma in significant supporting roles. The film was a box-office success and topped the charts upon its OTT release on Netflix.
