The film is based on mathematician Anand Kumar’s program of the same name, which claims to coach underprivileged children for the IIT entrance examinations with a high success rate.

The trailer starts with a voiceover stating that India is a third world country but another side it produced some of the world’s most powerful entrepreneurs are Indian.

We are introduced to a tanned face Hrithik as Anand who assures a rich brat student to fulfill his dream.

He is recruited to a reputed coaching institution Excel Coaching Centre which is run by Aditya Shrivastava’s character who decides to tap into Anand’s teaching abilities to make money.

His job leads to him earning a lot of money and enjoying his improved lifestyle but Anand decides to quit the job and open his own coaching center for underprivileged.

Anand, the mathematician, instead, decides to offer free coaching to poor children, with the dream of creating a meritocracy.

Even at the end of the trailer, Anand says to his student that ‘Ab raja ka beta ab raja nahi banega. Ab raja wahi banega jo haqdaar hoga’ (similar to GOT line, Kings will no longer be born). They will be chosen) echoing the current political mood in the country.

Hrithik Roshan is a never-seen avatar, his ‘Bihari’ accent is almost on the point though his personality doesn’t resemble with the real-life personality.

The film also features Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Shrivastava, and Amit Sadh.

Super 30 movie came into trouble when the director of the film Vikas Behl was accused of sexual harassment in October last year.

The filmmaker was ousted of the project owing to allegations. An internal complaints committee (ICC) at the Reliance Entertainment has cleared rape-accused Vikas Bahl of all charges, thereby paving the way for Bahl’s name to be reinstated as director of Super 30.

But after being given a clean chit, he has returned as the director of Super 30.

The movie was originally scheduled to be out on July 26 but was postponed after the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Mental Hai Kya picked that date for its release.

Producer Balaji Motion Pictures denied suggestions that Mental Hai Kya was deliberately brought forward to clash with Roshan’s film. Mental Hai Kya, starring Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao and directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, was originally meant to come out on June 21.

Due to the #Metoo allegations, the film which is also produced by Phantom films which include Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Behl, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena was dissolved. This film is their last production venture.

The film is set to hit the screens on July 12.
