Stree 2 starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, is set to release on August 15. It will face a box office clash with three other major films: Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein, John Abraham’s Vedaa, and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule.

The makers announced the release date on Friday with a motion poster, featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor also shared the announcement on Instagram. "Stree 2" is a sequel to the 2018 horror comedy "Stree," which was set in a small town plagued by an evil spirit during festival season. The sequel is penned by Niren Bhatt and produced by Vijan and Jio Studios.
