Sooryavanshi release date postponed due to Coronavirus outbreak, Akshay Kumar Tweets Safety Comes First.

The deadly coronavirus outbreak has been declared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation, with at least 73 confirmed cases in India and thousands of people being monitored for symptoms. 

Due to this theatre of Delhi and Kerala will be shut. Prior to this, Makers of Sooryavanshi has made a major announcement saying that they have postponed the release of Akshay Kumar starrer film which was scheduled to release on March 24.

Makers posted saying, "Sooryavanshi is an experience that we have created for you with over the year of dedication and hard work and the response we received for its trailer was nothing less than electrifying and made it clear that this film truly belongs to its audience. We have been excited as you are to present the film to you and your family, but due to the recent outburst of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we the makers, have decided to postpone the release of your film Sooryavanshi, keeping in mind the health and safety of our beloved audience. And therefore, Sooryavanshi will be back for you just when the time is right. After all, safety comes first. Until then, keep the excitement alive, take good care of yourself and stay strong, we shall put through this. - Team Sooryavanshi."

Sooryavanshi is the fourth installment in the Rohit Shetty cop universe, following Ajay Devgn’s Singham and Singham Returns, and Ranveer Singh’s Simmba. The film also stars Katrina Kaif as the lead pair of Akshay Kumar after De Dhana Dhan.

Sooryavanshi is backed by Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films.
