Sooryavanshi: Akshay Kumar as Veer Sooryavanshi will finally arrive on April 30, shares a special video

Finally, the wait is over, the much-awaited Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi which was about to release one year back gets a release date. The makers have officially announced the release date. the film is now slated to release on April 30, 2021.

Akshay Kumar took to social media to officially announce the release date. He wrote, 'We promised you all a cinematic experience and that’s what you will get...the wait is finally over! The film directed by Rohit Shetty was about to release officially on March 24, But due to Covid 19 pandemic, the film was postponed. At that makers even posted saying, "Sooryavanshi is an experience that we have created for you with over the year of dedication and hard work and the response we received for its trailer was nothing less than electrifying and made it clear that this film truly belongs to its audience. We have been excited as you are to present the film to you and your family, but due to the recent outburst of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we the makers, have decided to postpone the release of your film Sooryavanshi, keeping in mind the health and safety of our beloved audience. And therefore, Sooryavanshi will be back for you just when the time is right. After all, safety comes first. Until then, keep the excitement alive, take good care of yourself and stay strong, we shall put through this. - Team Sooryavanshi."

Akshay also posted the tweet by saying, 'Because our safety always, always comes first. Stay safe and take care of yourself.'

Sooryavanshi is the fourth instalment in the Rohit Shetty cop universe, following Ajay Devgn’s Singham and Singham Returns, and Ranveer Singh’s Simmba. The film also stars Katrina Kaif as the lead pair of Akshay Kumar after De Dhana Dhan.
