Khandaani Shafakhana is a Hindi comedy-drama film directed by Shilpi Dasgupta. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha, Badshah, Varun Sharma, and Annu Kapoor. The film is produced by T-Series and is scheduled to be theatrically released in India on 2 August 2019

Khandani Shafakhana follows a happy-go-lucky Punjabi girl, Babita "Baby" Bedi (played by Sonakshi Sinha), who can do anything for her family. She has to run a fertility clinic. She will have to face many obstacles of this society that is conservative towards women

Badshah, The rapper, whose video for the new single Paagal recently dethroned K-Pop heavyweights BTS, by crossing 75 million-plus views in 24 hours, is gearing up to make his acting debut this Friday. The film is the quirkily named Khandaani Shafakhana where he plays Gabru Ghaatak, a Punjabi popstar.

"In a way, yes. The character is similar to who I am but he is 10 times louder... and he’s a proper bitch! You love him at times and then hate him extremely as well, but you can’t ignore him — he’s in your face. That’s what I loved about it. It gave me an opportunity to play a bitch which I sometimes really want to do in real life! (Laughs) There are times when I just want to tell people to get lost and I got to do that in the film." - Badshah, in a recent promotional interview.

Khandaani Shafakhana, directed by Shilpi Dasgupta, is about a woman who inherits a sex clinic from her uncle. The movie stars Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma and Badshah.

Badshah also composed 'Saans To Le Le', which has a groovy beat and pleasant vocals by the composer and Rico. The song is surprisingly relaxed, compared to Badshah’s usual work in Bollywood. Could this be because of its take-a-chill-pill theme, or because Badshah is evolving as a musician? His latest blockbuster Paagal similarly eschews the loud and unimaginative aesthetics of his early hits like Saturday Saturday.
