Being at her bed in the hospital for almost 10 days. The 62 year actress had retired to her eternal home. She will be dearly missed for her exuberating performances and presence she has carried with her in all her work and close knit relationships with her friends and colleagues.
Everyone has their time. Rita Bhaduri lived hers and left behind a legacy to remember. Her career spanned for almost 5 decades. She was not just like any other actor. She carried her talents with an accreditation merging out of FTII. Sometimes, to the humour of it, she would be mistaken as Jaya Bhachan’s sister since both of them had almost ditto roles.
Rita Bhaduri stepped on to the acting turf in the movie Teri Talash Mein(1968), later on to become one of the prominent and most seen lead actress of her time. Her notable films were Hero No.1, Khabi Haa khabi Naa, Raja, Tamana etc.
Students, staff & teachers stood in silence for a while in her memory, which was followed by the screening of student film SAFAR in which she was paired with Tom Alter. This film happened to be the last film for both. Rita Bhaduri acted in over 70 films & around 30 TV serials. pic.twitter.com/dWYvkssX7M

Although having a strong hold in the bollywood industry, Rita gripped on to her roots in the Gujarati Film Industry. For her recent past, she played pivotal roles in television serials.
She worked on almost 70 films and 30 TV shows in her 5 year haul. Some of her notable mentions from the small screen are Bible Ki Kahaniya, Amanat, Hasratein, Kumkum, Choti Bahu, Choti Bahu, Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, Kaajjal and Nimki Mukhiya.
She is most recognised for her roles of being a grandmother or the head of a family.
#RitaBhaduri was affectionate, helpful, jovial, bright and full of life. It is sad and unfortunate that we sum up a person only when he or she is gone. I wish we met more often. We have lost a very fine actress and a brand ambassador/alumni of @FTIIOfficial. Om Shanti.🙏🙏 pic.twitter.com/8V8lwMjHSX
