Be it the role of a Pakistani Army Officer, a poor young man from Banaras, a drug addict, a Casanova or an Indian Military Officer, giving the audience goosebumps with his "How's the Josh?" dialogues, Vicky Kaushal has proved he is here to stay in Bollywood. He will entertaining us all with great panache.
Vicky Kaushal has proved his potential to be a silver screen star in his very short filmy career. He started off in Bollywood as an assistant director to Anurag Kashyap in the crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) and went on to play minor roles in two of Kashyap's productions. His first leading role was in the independent drama Masaan (2015), which earned him the IIFA and Screen Awards for Best Male Debut, following which he starred as an unhinged cop in Kashyap's psychological thriller Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016).
His prominent performance in 2018 in Raazi and Sanju, proved that though a supporting actor but he did lure the camera and audience in. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor, for his role of Kamlesh, in the movie Sanju. He starred in Netflix films Love per Square Foot and Lust Stories, in 2018. He had his first commercial success as a lead actor, while playing the role of a military officer in action film Uri: The Surgical Strike.
