Report: Urmila Matondkar Files for Divorce from Mohsin Akhtar Mir

The couple had been married for eight years. A source close to them stated, "After careful consideration, Urmila has decided to end her marriage with Mohsin. She has already filed for divorce in court, though the reason behind their separation remains undisclosed. The divorce is not happening on mutual terms."

Urmila and Mohsin tied the knot on February 4, 2016, in an intimate ceremony at her residence in Mumbai, attended by close family and friends. The two first met in 2014 at designer Manish Malhotra's niece's wedding.

Urmila Matondkar began her career as a child actor in Shekhar Kapur's Masoom, an adaptation of Erich Segal’s novel Man, Woman and Child. She rose to fame in the 1990s with hit films like Rangeela, Judai, Satya, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Bhoot, and Ek Hasina Thi. Her last major appearance was in the 2014 Marathi film Ajoba, and she made a special appearance in the song Bewafa Beauty from the 2018 film Blackmail.
