In a tragic incident, a 55-year-old man was reportedly murdered at a Greater Noida property during a wedding ceremony on Monday night. The shocking event unfolded at the location where scenes from the film "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani," featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, were filmed.
The luxurious house, depicted as the grand Randhawa Paradise bungalow, has now become a crime scene.
As per reports from Hindustan Times, the victim, identified as Ashok Yadav, was allegedly shot dead by his son’s father-in-law during the wedding ceremony held at the Gaur Mulberry Farmhouse in Greater Noida West. The accused, Shekhar, a resident of Ghaziabad, reportedly used a licensed revolver for the attack.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, with Ashok's son and Shekhar's daughter going through a divorce, leading to conflicts between the two families. An altercation between Shekhar and Ashok escalated, resulting in Shekhar shooting Ashok twice in the head. Amidst chaos, Shekhar managed to escape. Suniti, the deputy commissioner of police in Central Noida, stated that their investigation revealed the use of a licensed revolver in the attack.
The film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, directed by Karan Johar, featured a star-studded cast, including Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, and Jaya Bachchan. It was released in theaters in July of the current year.
