She has been in both the industries namely the film industry and the TV. She was mainly known for playing the role of mother in most of the movies and she has nailed in other roles as well.
Reema Lagoo was one of the most talented actresses we ever had in the industry and she passed away last year due to a severe chest pain while shooting for a serial. Apart from TV Shows, she was equally famous in films as well.
Check out her motherly roles in both films as well as TV:
Hum Aapke Hai Koun!
She played the role of Madhuri Dixit and Renuka Shahane's mother in the movie and she portrayed the role with ease and most of the fans wished to have a mother like her.
Hum Saath Saath Hain
Hum Saath Saath Hain portrayed her yet again as a mother but a step-mother who treats her step son like her own son and there is one flaw where she is friends with three women who are hardcore Page 3 frequents.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
She played the role of a mother to Anjali who still knows that despite getting married to Aman. Her heart is still beating for Rahul and also makes sure that they are united once and for all.
Vaastav: The Reality
A new age mother India, who despises her son's profession as a gangster who is very cold-blooded and she shows a steadfast expression despite her son's vulgar display of wealth . The must watch scene of the movie.
Kal Ho Naa Ho
Many of us cried when we saw Aman breathing his last in the hospital but even felt bad for his mother (Reema Lagoo) who was by his side during his last days.
Her impressive acting in TV Shows
Tu Tu Main Main
The only show which was ruling our prime-time TV before Kapil Sharma took over was this one. The show was filled with a lot of jokes and excessive ROFL moments. We loved the unique love and hate relationship between a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law.
Shrimaan Shrimati
Much before Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, this was the original which was trending back in the day and this was much cleaner and simpler than Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai.
Naamkaran
She played a role of an antagonist who despises her son's illegitimate child who is born to a Muslim mother and goes to any extent to get her out of the way by hook or by crook. This was the last show before her sudden demise. As the director of the show Mahesh Bhatt stated she infused the life in his show.
For men may come and men may go but she lives forever in our hearts.
