The Burning Train remake: Juno Chopra has joined hands with Jackky Bhagnani for the remake of his father Ravi Chopra's 1980 classic movie, The Burning Train. The official announcement was made earlier today.

After impressing the audience with Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Pati Patni Aur Woh, Juno Chopra is all set to remake his father Ravi Chopra's 1980 classic movie, The Burning Train. He has collaborated with Jackky Bhagnani for the project. 

Earlier today, Jackky took to social media to make the big announcement. He tweeted, "Delighted to announce the remake of #TheBurningTrain in association with my dear friend @junochopra. A classic by Ravi Chopra sir.I hope we do justice to the magic that he created years ago. @vashubhagnani @honeybhagnani @poojafilms #BRFilms."  

Released on March 20, 1980, The Burning Train starred some of the biggest names then - Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Vinod Khanna, Parveen Babi, Jeetendra, Neetu Singh, Vinod Mehra, and Danny Denzongpa. Interestingly, the 70mm prints of the film were made in Los Angeles, USA and its soundtrack was by the legendary R.D. Burman. 

Directed by Ravi Chopra and produced by B. R. Chopra under the B. R. Films banner, the action-thriller revolved around a train named the Super Express, that catches fire on its inaugural run from New Delhi to Mumbai. This movie was inspired by the 1975 Japanese movie The Bullet Train. Considered to be a classic, The Burning Train still tops the list of every cinema lover.
