PM Narendra Modi pens thank you note to Aamir Khan for supporting his initiative of eliminating single-use plastic

A day after Aamir Khan urged citizens to eliminate single-use plastic, PM Narendra Modi has now thanked the actor on Twitter for his support. Aamir, who has always lent his support to such initiatives, recently lauded PM Modi's "new mass movement" on social media.

In response to his posts, PM Modi took to Twitter to pen a thank you note to Aamir Khan for being a part of the cause. 

"Thank you @aamir_khan for the valuable support to the movement and to eliminate usage of single use plastic. Your encouraging words will inspire others to strengthen the movement as well," the caption on PM Modi's official Twitter handle read.

On Wednesday, Aamir Khan advised people on Instagram and Twitter to stop using single-use plastic.

He wrote, "The initiative by the Honourable PM to curb 'single-use plastic' is an effort all of us should strongly support. It's up to each of us to make sure we stop using 'single-use plastic'."
