Pakistani actor Shaan Shahid was trolled for slamming Shah Rukh Khan’s voiceover in the Hindi version of the upcoming Hollywood flick The Lion King.

The Hindi version of The Lion King garnered attention for its voicer done by Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan.

While the father-son duo is being lauded by everyone for their impactful voiceovers, Pakistani actor Shaan Shahid has a different take. Shaan expressed his displeasure over SRK’s dubbing and wrote on Twitter, “Please don’t destroy such a beautiful movie with Hindi dub...In this promo, Shah Rukh’s voice is the same as it is in any other film. At least he should’ve changed his voice and expression for The Lion King.”

However, it turned out that the promo that Shaan had reacted to did not feature SRK’s voice but his son Aryan’s. This triggered a flurry of savage comments on the micro-blogging website. One of the users wrote to the actor, “Shaan, you're trying to be over smart. Nobody is forcing you to watch the Hindi version of the film. You watch it in English only.”

Upon being told that the voiceover he had reacted to was Aryan’s, Shaan said, “That’s even worst actually he sounds like his father no individual identity .. looks like dad did some homework.”

In another comment, the actor targetted SRK over nepotism. He wrote, “No offense taken brother it’s a good move by the west to make money that’s all, I encourage young talent but sometimes encouraging wrong to make it right is a disaster. Nepotism sometimes doesn’t bear fruit. Even will smith couldn’t do it. Hope I haven’t offended you”.

The Lion King will hit theatres across the country on July 19.
