Both movies were set to release on the occasion of Republic Day.
The mega clash which the whole country was waiting for has been jeopardized. “Padman” and “Padmaavat” both were set to release on the Republic Day but the release date of “Padman” has been postponed to 9th Feb. As we say, “history repeats” Padman will now release with “Aiyaary”. This decision was taken after an internal discussion between Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Leela Bansali. As lot of problems surrounded the release of Padmaavat, the makers of Padman decided to just postpone the movie’s release date. Padmaavat stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead. The movie is directed by Sanjay Leela Bansali and was set to release on 1st December 2017. But due to many opposition and CBFC cuts and changes in the movie the movie is finally set to release worldwide on 25th Jan. Padman starring Akshay Kumar, Radika Apte and Sonam Kapoor is a story based on hygiene of women during their periods. The movie is based on the real-life story of A. Muruganantham, inventor of a low cost sanitary napkin machine. As Padman is postponed now, both movies will have a good run.
