The long-awaited teaser for OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar, has finally been released. It marks Akshay's comeback to the OMG franchise, 11 years after the release of "OMG – Oh My God!" The posters have already revealed that Akshay will be portraying the role of Lord Shiva. However, instead of Paresh Rawal, this time we have the talented Pankaj Tripathi playing a crucial role. Yami Gautam and Arun Govil also star in the film. The teaser provides fans with a glimpse into the world of OMG 2.

The OMG 2 teaser arrives shortly after Shah Rukh Khan unveiled the Jawan preview. It has been confirmed that both the OMG 2 teaser and Jawan preview will be attached to Tom Cruise's "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One," also known as "Mission: Impossible 7," which is set to release in theaters on July 12.

Meanwhile, OMG 2 is scheduled for release in August. The film has locked in the release date of August 11, setting up a clash with Sunny Deol's "Gadar 2." Additionally, OMG 2 will also face competition from Rajinikanth's "Jailer." Initially, Ranbir Kapoor's "Animal" was slated to release on the same date, but the release was postponed to December to allow for additional post-production work, as announced by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

OMG 2 commenced filming in late 2021, with Akshay sharing the news on Twitter and seeking blessings for their honest and humble attempt to shed light on an important social issue. He also posted a video from the sets featuring Pankaj Tripathi, where the duo was seen in a temple setting.

In addition to "Oh My God 2," Akshay Kumar has other projects in the pipeline, including the remake of "Soorarai Pottru" and "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan," co-starring Tiger Shroff. He is also set to appear in the third installment of "Phir Hera Pheri," alongside Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, although further details about the plotline are yet to be revealed.
