New Release Date Announced for Kalki 2898 AD, Starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone

Nag Ashwin's highly anticipated sci-fi film, Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, has revealed a fresh release date. The magnum opus is set to hit theaters on May 9, 2024, as announced by the production banner Vyjayanthi Movies on its social media platforms.
Initially slated for release on January 12, the movie promises to transport audiences to an unprecedented world in Indian cinema.
Accompanying the announcement was a striking new poster showcasing Prabhas, shared by the studio on Instagram. Prabhas himself shared the poster, initiating the countdown to the film's futuristic journey, and Amitabh Bachchan also shared the updated release date on his Instagram.

Previously known as Project K when greenlit in 2020, Kalki 2898 AD features an ensemble cast, including Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. Nag Ashwin, the filmmaker, emphasized the uniqueness of the project during an event at IIT Bombay, describing it as India's Kalki and a standalone cinematic endeavor.
The official title, Kalki 2898 AD, was unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2023, offering a glimpse into the futuristic world with warriors portrayed by Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Prabhas engaged in a war-like scenario. Nag Ashwin expressed the film's aspiration to showcase India's rich lore and superheroes on a global platform, stating that the project aims to share these cultural elements with the world. Produced by Aswini Dutt, the founder of Vyjayanthi Movies, the film is anticipated to deliver a cinematic experience like never before.
