The meaning and purpose behind the poster and the film 'GOLD' will touch everybody's hearts
The upcoming film 'Gold' featuring Akshay Kumar on the First Olympic Gold Medal India won, not just as a nation but as an independent nation in the year 1948, 12th August.
For the unveiling of the poster, Farhan Akhtar proudly said, "All Victories begin with a dream." And the truth of that statement is proved in the upcoming film. The film shows us the dreams and life of a one man who is in the Indian hockey team.
This film is not just another story that people watch and get over but a reminder on how India dreamt as a country and how the independent nation achieved it through multiple struggles and hurdles along the way to victory.
This year celebrates 70 years of the free India winning a gold medal at the Olympics for Hockey. Film makers came together to celebrate this anniversary of a proud Moment that all Indians went through. Celebrating this historic occasion, the makers are all set to release the film on the 15th of August this year.The film is written and directed by Reema Kagti and marks the Bollywood debut of actress Mouni Roy opposite Akshay Kumar.
The teaser depicted the struggle for India’s first Gold as a free nation. While we had won several medals under the British Raj, the story of this Gold medal was special. The film has been shot across the UK and India, capturing the fascinating aspects of the pre-independent era. The movie is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, helmed by Reema Kagti and is all set to release on the 15th August 2018.
