Mimi Trailer: Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi starrer talks about surrogacy

Kriti Sanon’s Mimi trailer released on Tuesday and, just as makers promised, it is “nothing like what you’re expecting!” The family entertainer, which revolves around the plot of surrogacy is set to release on Netflix on July 30.

Dissimilar to every one of the movies around surrogacy we've found in Bollywood up until this point, Mimi doesn't view things appropriately. Maybe, it likes to treat the subject with a great deal of guiltlessness and effortlessness, bound with dabs of humour, politeness entertainer Pankaj Tripathi. Mimi rotates around a humble community young lady from Rajasthan, played by Kriti Sanon, who gets offered Rs 20 lakh to go about as a substitute for an American couple. The mediator is Tripathi, who, in his immaculate style, figures out how to persuade the two players.

The lone obstacle being, the means by which Mimi will conceal her pregnant stomach from her folks and the general public on the loose. The film addresses the difficulties of surrogacy and what society looks like at it.

Things, notwithstanding, take a divert when the couple withdraws from the arrangement and won't acknowledge the youngster. Mimi's family thinks a pregnant unwedded little girl implies it's an ill-conceived youngster. And this accompanies a touch of strict contention. Extraordinary notice to Tripathi, who breaks the picture of Kriti Sanon's dad from their past excursion Bareilly Ki Barfi, and convincingly plays an unassuming community specialist, who even wears the job of Mimi's accomplice in the film.

Mimi also stars Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak and Sai Tamhankar.

Speaking about Mimi, Kriti Sanon told PTI, “It’s not preachy or serious. It’s not like you are going to watch a film on surrogacy and it’s going to be a documentary film. It’s a very entertaining film, filled with humour, and a lot of ups and downs. There’s a beautiful graph of the woman I am playing, Mimi, where she wants to be an actress.”

Mimi reunites Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi, director Laxman Utekar and producer Dinesh Vijan after their hit romantic-comedy Luka Chuppi. It is also the latest collaboration between Dinesh Vijan and Kriti Sanon after films like Raabta, Luka Chuppi and Arjun Patiala. Fans also remember her striking camaraderie with Pankaj Tripathi as father-daughter in Bareilly Ki Barfi.
