Meet the real 'Kamli' of Sanjay Dutt: Parya aka Paresh Ghelani

Actually, Sanjay Dutt did have a friend just like Kamli aka Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal Kapsi in Sanju and that is Paresh Ghelani aka Parya who Sanjay Dutt used to call fondly as a nickname.

The role which Vicky Kaushal played in Sanju was rumored to be an amalgamation of three or four friends of Sanjay Dutt is actually based on his best friend Parya. Vicky Kaushal was advised by Rajkumar Hirani to get in touch with Paresh Ghelani to get to know better about him.

Just like Kamli, Paresh also lives in the United States but the difference between the film and the real life is that Kamli lives in New York but Parya was living in Chicago and then later moved to Los Angeles with his family.

Paresh is a wealthy entrepreneur and is the owner of multiple entertainment companies like Moon express, Xprize and Radimmune.
