Akshay Kumar has been navigating a rough patch at the box office recently. Despite the successes of OMG 2 and Sooryavanshi, many of his other films have struggled to make a significant impact, with some failing to even make a strong opening.
His upcoming film Khel Khel Mein has generated considerable interest, not just because of Kumar's involvement but also due to its star-studded ensemble cast that includes Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu,Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal.
Khel Khel Mein has seen a slow start in ticket sales, with just over 2,000 tickets sold as of yesterday. However, the numbers have seen an uptick, with nearly 5,500 tickets sold by this morning, amounting to a total of Rs 22.6 lakh. While this improvement is encouraging, the film still faces stiff competition from Stree 2 and Vedaa, both of which are set to release on the same day. Stree 2 is leading in ticket sales with nearly Rs 6.87 crore, while Vedaa is slightly ahead of Khel Khel Mein with around Rs 30 lakh in collections.
Khel Khel Mein is directed by Mudassar Aziz, known for his work on films like Happy Bhaag Jayegi and Pati Patni Aur Woh. The film's performance at the box office will be closely watched, especially as Akshay Kumar's next release, Sky Force, is slated for October 2nd. Additionally, Kumar reportedly has a cameo appearance in Stree 2, adding to the anticipation surrounding these upcoming releases.
