Karishma Kapoor was one of the reigning stars in the 90s and the audience were swayed by looks and charm. She was the first one to do films from her film family despite her father going against it.
Here are some of the best roles of the actress which has managed to entertain us for a very long time on the occasion of her birthday:
1. Nisha in Dil Toh Pagal Hai
A girl-next-door who harbors a crush on the dance director (played by Shah Rukh Khan was played perfectly by her, you will fall in love with her innocence and natural looks.
2. Fiza Ikramullah in Fiza
A movie which is set in the backdrop of the 1993 Bombay Riots had Karishma playing the titular character who goes on the search of her brother (played by Hrithik Roshan) who goes missing during the riots, who finds out that he has become a terrorist with a vendatta. The role fetched her a lot of awards.
3. Nandini in Shakti: The Power
A role of a mother who arrives from Canada along with her husband and her son undergoes a serious turmoil when her husband is brutally killed during the violence between two families and this movie showed her like a tigress. Again she was nominated as best actress.
4. Zubeida in Zubeida
This role was a feather on her cap where she played the role of a famous actress of the same name who experiences serious turmoil when she starts having an affair with a prince who was already married.
Apart from roles, she made appearances in various reality shows as a judge and made her comeback in 2012 with Dangerous Ishqq which was a disaster at the box-office. Now, she'll be making a cameo in SRK starrer Zero.
