Kalank trailer starring Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film is directed by Abhishek Verma.
The most anticipated movie of the year Kalank’s trailer is out and it is molded with aesthetic and grandeur, a reflection of all the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic.
The plot of Kalank came into view in the full-length trailer released by Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
It appears to suggest that Aditya Roy Kapur’s character Dev Chaudhry marries Alia Bhatt’s character, Roop. And Dev is already married to Sonakshi Sinha’s character Satya.

The twist comes when Zafar a rogue played by Varun Dhawan falls in love with married Roop. Both are from different religion and the story is set in the 1940s during partition.
The trailer is filled with actors such as Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt uttering heavy dialogues which reminds you of retro films which had dialogue baazi in it.
One can only hope that this isn’t another film in which substance doesn’t get lost in style.

We can also see other actors such as Kunal Khemu, Kiara Advani.
The trailer ends with a nice little twist on the classic Bollywood train chase sequence set against what appear to be riots, with Roop literally stuck between Zafar and Dev.
This will definitely remind you of the post-climax scene of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
A collaboration between Dharma Productions, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, and Fox Star Studios, Kalank releases on April 17th.
