Hum Chaar Movie Review : Masked as a Buddy Film, This Rajshri Feature aligns more with its Signature Family Drama Genre.

Modified On: 15 February 2019 | Reviewed By:

Hum chaar isn't a Buddy Movie rather an Emotional Drama that is loved for ages now by Rajshri Production's target audience. You'd like it if you like 'vivaah' or that sort of films. If you are expecting a witty college friendhip comedy drama that reminds you of your college days then 'Hum Chaar' isn't for you.

Review

From the Teaser and Trailer, If you were expecting a buddy comedy or Drama, then 'Hum Char' would surprise you with a love quadrilateral first half, where three friends are impressing the same girl and second half goes as Typical Rajshri Tragedy family Drama. It was totally uncalled for, atleast for me.

Namit (Prit kamani, with strong resemblances of Karthik Aryan) is a similar character like Prem in every Rajshri Movie. He is narrating this story and makes you wonder if he is the lead and other two are just supporting characters, throughout the movie. All other characters have small traits that differentiate them but more or less they all sound same and take no special attention.

Written and directed by Abhishek Dixit, 'Hum chaar' appears to be superficial, not as much as 'Student of the year' though. Emotional Drama in scenes are  dragged and pause between dialogues remind you of sanskari films like "Hum Sath Sath hai" and "vivaah" of the same production house, which is little unbearable by present generation. Yeah, there are some moral science lessons in movie, so go prepared. Also, Dialogues sound a little unbaked and Screenplay is almost predictable, except for few plot twists.

The Music and BGM are good, But nothing resonates or stays with you post movie.
