Super 30 is set to be released on 26 July amidst speculations of it clashing with Kangana Ranaut's Mental hai Kya.

Hrithik Roshan to star in his second biopic after playing Mughal emperor Akbar in the 2008 historical romance Jodhaa Akbar. Roshan will be playing the role of Anand Kumar, the founder of Super 30. Mrunal Thakur is also a part of the project, who has previously worked in movie ‘Love Sonia’ and Balaji T.V. serials.


Super 30 is an educational program started in Patna, India under the banner of Ramanujan School of Mathematics by Anand Kumar, a maths teacher in the year 2002. The program claims to select 30 meritorious and talented candidates each year from economically backward sections of society and trains them for the JEE. Professor Kumar is known to select 30 kids from impoverished section of the society and then prepare them for IIT exam. The students are also provided study materials and lodging for a year free of cost. Kumar's mother, Jayanti Devi, cooked for the students while he tutored them during the initial years of the program. 

In the first year of the coaching, 18 out of 30 students made it to IIT. In 2004, 22 out of 30 students qualified for IIT-JEE, this increased the popularity of the program and inviting more applications. In 2005, 26 out of 30 students made it to IIT. In 2006 IIT changed its examination pattern yet 28 students cleared the examination. In 2007, again 28 students qualified and only in 2008 the hit the target of all 30 students qualifying the JEE exam for IITs. Anand's former students joined as teachers for the Super 30 and in the year 2009, all 30 students again managed to clear the IIT JEE.

By 2018, 422 out of the 480 had made it to the IITs and Discovery Channel showcased Kumar’s work in a documentary. He has been invited by the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University to speak on his globally acclaimed effort to mentor students from the underprivileged sections for admission to IIT.

IITs are one of the most prestigious universities in India and a dream come true for those wanting to become engineers. Many of the engineers are employed by Multinational corporations in India as well as abroad.


The movie is set out to be released on 26th July. There were some speculations about it clashing with Kangana and Raj Kumar Rao starer Mental hai Kya but producers of the movie have set all such rumors to rest. No matter if there is a clash or not, with good content even the shelved movies are known to make a come back in the next weekends.
