Hirani's Take on Why Aamir Khan Refused The Role of Sunil Dutt in Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Sanju'

With the curiosity of the teaser getting the audience impatient to watch ‘Sanju’ in theatres. The director of the movie Rajkumar Hirani reveals some facts about why Aamir Khan refused the role of Sunil Dutt in the movie.
Here’s what the director has stated:
“Aamir is a friend. Any script I write, I bounce it to him. When I narrated Sanju to him, he loved it and said, 'Main bhi kuch karta hoon (I should also do something in it).' Then I said, do this. But he was already doing the role of an elderly man in Dangal (2016) around the same time.”
Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Jim Sarabh, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala & Dia Mirza, releasing on 28th June 2018.
