Hichki starring Rani Mukherjee was earlier slated to release on 23rd Feb.
The movie team took to twitter to announce the postpone of Hichki release date from 23rd Feb to 23rd March. Yash Raj Films which is producing Hichki decided to postpone the release to cater the right audience - students and families. Since February is an exam period for most of the students, the marketing and distribution team wants to extend the release window to get in target audience. Hichki is about turning disadvantages into opportunities. Rani plays Naina Mathur, who suffers from Tourette Syndrome that forces an individual to make involuntary repetitive movements or sounds like Hichki. The film’s story is based on Naina, who faces discrimination from society that firmly believes she cannot be a teacher because of her disorder.
