Happy Phhir Bhaag Jayegi Movie Review: Noodles Served With Butter Chicken
Happy Phhir Bhaag Jayegi is the sequel to 2016 hit Happy Bhaag Jayegi which was a sleeper hit at the box office and the film was well appreciated for its feel-good plot.
After creating chaos in Happy Bhaag Jayegi, Happy (Diana Penty) and Guddu (Ali Fazal) are holidaying in Shanghai, China in the sequel Happy Phhir Bhag Jayegi. Co-incidentally another Happy (Sonakshi Sinha) also arrives in Shanghai for the job of a Horticulturist at the same time.
Trouble ensues when the gangsters conspire to kidnap Guddu's wife Happy and end up kidnapping the wrong Happy which brings more chaos not just to the wrong Happy but even to the gangsters who are completely confused about what to do.
Dagga (Jimmy Shergill) and Usman Bhai (Piyush Mishra) also end up coming to Shanghai in the search of the original Happy who ran away from the wedding. Their funny encounter with a Chinese gangster brings a smile to most of the viewers who are planning to watch this film this weekend.
Jassie Gill is the newest edition in this franchise, he plays the role of an Indian diplomat based in Shanghai who speaks Chinese with ease and also brings a charm in this one.
The plot is quite good and it is just a light-hearted watch for those who are looking for some fun moments in comedy films rather than vulgarity and OTT moments. Piyush Mishra's character is more like Jacques Clouseau from The Pink Panther series with a lot of comic elements in it. Sonakshi is featured as a fresh breeze in this one and the name of the gangster Makaju is utilized very well in this one despite being a Hindi expletive.
Overall, this film is just a perfect watch for you and your family, this forthcoming weekend.
