A direct-to-TV film revolving around a famous supermodel named Gia Marie Carangi, whose life revolved around ramp walks, brand endorsements, wild decisions and ultimate downfall because of drugs, affairs and scandals.The movie established her as an actress and won her a lot of accolades.

2. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

The movie which gave her status of a female action film star was this one, this movie was a remake of a popular video game of the same name. The movie even established her as an international superstar in the coming years. The sequel The Cradle Of Life was also well received by the audience.

3. Mr and Mrs Smith

A movie adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic of the same name featured her and her then-husband Brad Pitt as a couple who are actually secret assassins out to finish each other. The movie also established a relationship between the actors.

4. Wanted

A role of a femme fatale who trains a frustrated employee to become a professional assassin. This movie was planned after she completed her pregnancy and was keen to do action flicks.

5. A Mighty Heart

The movie which is set one year after 9/11 revolves around the brutal murder of a Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in Pakistan. Angelina played the role of Mariane Pearl the wife of Daniel Pearl. The movie is shot mostly in India, the role fetched Jolie a lot of awards for her performance.

6. Salt

The role which was actually meant for a male hero wouldn’t have seen the light of day if it was not offered to Jolie. The movie revolved around a loyal CIA operative Evelyn Salt on the run when she is accused of being a Russian spy out to kill the president of the United States. The role fetched her a lot of appreciation and awards. Jolie pulled off the death defying stunts with ease in the movie.

7. Changeling

The movie is based on the infamous Wineville Chicken Coop Murders which had shaken the entire city of Los Angeles. The actress plays the role of Christine Collins, a mother whose son is missing and asks for help from the LAPD to locate him. The role fetched her nominations at the oscars, BAFTA and golden globe.

8. Maleficent

The role of the arch-nemesis of sleeping beauty literally got us screaming in fear. The role was just perfect for her and it will be like Jolie might play the same role in the live action version of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.

9. Kung Fu Panda

Apart from serious roles, femme fatale and sex symbol roles, Jolie has a soft corner for animation movies as well. She gave the voice of the tigress in the Kung Fu Panda trilogy and her children were just mesmerized by it.

10. Shark Tale

The voice of Lola, a scheming gold-digging, flirtatious lionfish who extracts revenge from Oscar, when he dumps her is quite similar to her personality as well. You will love to hate the character if you hear her voice.
