With clashing release dates, we wonder if both the film's lead actors have anything to say
After almost Fifteen years in the industry and acting in over 45 films, John Abraham is flourishing in his career as an actor and has been acting and playing roles in back to back movies.
His movie that was released earlier, 'Parmanu – The Story of Pokhran' has been doing more than great in the Box office and has just crossed it's Rs. 50 crore mark in the Box Office. with his next Project John has already completed his movie 'Satyameva Jayate' and is now moving on to his next role. His movie 'Satyameva Jayate' is set to release on the 15th of August.
But this won't be the only film being released on that day. Akshay Kumar's new upcoming, and most awaited film, 'Gold' is also set to release on the 15th of August to celebrate India's 70 years of winning a gold medal in the Olympic games since India became an independent nation.
John and Akshay have worked together multiple times in the past and have maintained a great and strong bond. While speaking on the topic of John's movie 'Parmanu – The Story of Pokhran' at the Box office, he was asked about what he felt with the clash of his and his friend, Akshay's movie at the box office, he replied,
"Akshay is an actor in Gold and I am an actor in Satyameva Jayate. That’s a producer’s decision. It is about Excel Entertainment and T-Series, so I have no say in that at all. As far as competing with Akshay is concerned, I want to make it clear that he is my senior in the industry. I love him and I have always wished the best for him and I am sure he will also want the best for me,”
Clearing up every question audiences wanted answered about if his friendship with Akshay would be meddled with because of their films clashing at the Box Office, John moved on to answer other questions that the media had on how much the Film industry has changed in the last 15 years, to which John replied,
"See it’s cyclical. If your one film does good, then people laud you for it and you get a bouquet of flowers for it and if your film doesn’t do well, then you also get brickbats for it. So I think I have become an old horse in this industry. Now I understand what works for the film and what runs in the mind of people.”
With all doubts set aside, we can finally rest in peace and await both the movies that are to be released on the 15th of August.
