1. Introduction to Fanney Khan: Fanney Khan (Anil Kapoor) is a famous orchestra musician who used to create magic on the stage with his unique music way back in the 90s and his look is inspired from the late rock-n-roll legend Elvis Presley.

2. Fast Forward To Present: 28 years later, Fanney Khan is now married and leading an obscure life with his wife (Divya Dutta) and an overweight daughter Lata (introducing Pihu Sand). Lata is shown to be a singer who wants to create magic of reigning singers like Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal but her father is adamant in making her like the legendary Lata Mangeshkar.

3. Lata gets fat-shamed: Despite the tremendous talent, Lata showcases her talent by singing Sheila Ki Jawaani on the stage but she gets booed and fat-shamed frequently. Reminds me when Charlie Chaplin's mom Hannah Chaplin was booed frequently.

4. Fanney Khan Decides To Make An Album: Looking at her potential, Fanney decides to use his savings for making a music album so that she gets a chance to showcase her talent worldwide.

5. Baby Singh, The Reigning Diva in Music Industry: Baby Singh (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) looks like a desi version of Beyonce who has a huge oomph factor and a brilliant stage presence. Looks like Ash is going to nail it with this role after reuniting with Anil Kapoor after 19 years in Taal.

6. Kidnapping Baby Singh For Money: With no other option left for music album, Anil and Rajkummar Rao decide to kidnap Ash for money so that they can get money for the music album. Which becomes a hilarious turn while speaking to Ash.

7. A unique bonding between Ash and Rajkummar Rao: Despite being kidnapped, Ash opens up to him by being friendly to him and showing her infinity tattoo on her arm.

8. Endless Humiliation: Despite entering into the reality show, she's again mocked not for her body but for her name Lata, which becomes a shameful moment for the parents.
