The Hindi remake of the 2019 Malayalam-language comedy Driving License, Selfiee is all set to hit our silver screens this week.
Starring Emraan Hashmi and Akshay Kumar in lead roles, the movie is the story of a superstar, played by Akshay, who rubs a cop (Emraan) the wrong way over a driving license. Emraan, who used to be a huge fan of the star, raged by his brattiness, decides to seek revenge and get back at him.
Recently, the Selfiee team dropped a BTS video on insta, where the team can be seen indulging in fun facts about one another. Starting off was superstar Akshay Kumar, who while commenting on the story of the comedy-drama said, “The story, I would say, is a really fun one. There is a lot of drama, comedy and action in it. It has all the ingredients. I would say it is a wholesome film.” He further went on to add, "When director Raj Mehta narrated the story, which is about a superstar and his biggest fan, I was very excited.”
Even co-star Emraan Hashmi echoed Raj's statement and said, “He is such a funny guy. There's this humour that he brings to the table in his films. And there is his own personal humour that is genuine, that's him. And, it's like a laugh a minute. He is always cracking jokes.”
Sharing the video on the same, Akshay wrote, “It's all work and all play on the set of #Selfiee :) It was a lot of fun making the film with our team. Enjoy the madness in Selfiee releasing in cinemas this Friday, February 24.”
