Director Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious project, 'Ramayana,' is poised to embark on its cinematic journey, promising to bring the timeless saga to life in a grand spectacle. Despite earlier speculations about delays, the project is now confirmed to commence filming on schedule.
With an ensemble cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol, under Tiwari's meticulous direction, the film aims to capture the essence of the epic tale.
As per reports from Pinkvilla, Ranbir Kapoor, set to portray the iconic role of Lord Ram, is currently finalizing crucial 3D scans in Los Angeles, while the rest of the team prepares for the initial sequences at Mumbai's Film City. The early stages of filming will focus on the formative years of Lord Ram, Laxman, and Bharat, with child artists entrusted to embody these legendary characters. Shishir Sharma is slated to portray the revered Guru Vasishtha, imparting profound life lessons to the young princes.
A grand set, meticulously crafted at Film City, sets the stage for this magnum opus. Combining traditional Gurukul ambiance with modern green screen technology, the production aims to seamlessly blend visual splendor with narrative authenticity.
While Ranbir Kapoor's physical presence may be temporarily absent from the initial shoot, he is scheduled to rejoin the ensemble by mid-April. The 'Ramayana' team plans to unveil the grandeur of their feature film adaptation during the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami on April 17th, 2024, promising audiences a cinematic experience of epic proportions.
