Deepika Padukone has been actively participating in initiatives when it comes to mental health issues and that has even prompted her to start a philanthropy venture to remove depression.
It has been three years since Deepika Padukone spoke about depression. She started suffering from it after her breakup with RK Jr and that affected her career deeply. This crossed the limits when she started feeling the symptoms of it while shooting for Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela. She even took medications when she was shooting for her other films like Happy New Year and Finding Fanny.
She opened it up in 2015 and before her shooting schedule of Piku, she took a break for two months. Finally, she battled it and managed to come back with a bang by winning accolades for her acting in Piku.
Deepika has opened up about this issue and urged her fans to tell their stories of depression with her video posted on her Twitter handle.
