'De De Pyaar De' Trailer: Luv Ranjan Brand of Comedy

The trailer starts with a conversation between Ajay and Javed Jaffrey’s character.

Ashish, Ajay Devgn's character is a 50-year-old man having a relationship with 26-year-old Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) whom he met in London.

But the twist occurs when Ashish introduces Ayesha to his family including his ex-wife played by Tabu and their children, both of whom are in their 20’s.

Now that is a rare instance to see a mainstream actor playing his real age. And strategically makers launched the trailer on Ajay’s 50th birthday i.e. today.

The crux of the story is about these two tabooed couple coming together after overcoming all the hurdles.

The film his written by Luv Ranjan and its totally his brand of comedy due to the narration from a male point of view which was also shown in his previous films like Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety and Pyar Ka Punchnama series.

The film also includes Alok Nath, who had multiple #MeToo allegations and was expelled from CINTAA.

De De Pyaar De is the directorial debut of ace film editor Akiv Ali who has worked in more than 30 films in his career thus far including Kaabil, Barfi, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and more.

De De Pyaar De releases on May 17th.
