Chhaava teaser launched: Vicky Kaushal impresses as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj

The much-anticipated teaser for Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, was unveiled on Monday, sparking immense excitement among fans.
In this historical film, Vicky Kaushaltakes on the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the valiant son of the legendary Maratha warrior-king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Judging by the reactions on social media, Vicky has made a powerful impression with his portrayal, leaving audiences eagerly anticipating the film.
The 1.12-minute teaser showcases Vicky in action, where he singlehandedly battles hundreds of soldiers as the fierce and brave Maratha warrior. His intense performance, coupled with dramatic action sequences, has already generated substantial buzz. Fans are hailing the film as a sure-shot blockbuster and predicting that it will be the 'dark horse' of 2024, with guaranteed success at the box office.
Chhaava also features Rashmika Mandanna as Chhatrapati Maharani Yesubai, the wife of Sambhaji Maharaj, and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film promises to be an epic retelling of Sambhaji Maharaj’s story, brought to life by a stellar cast.
Set to hit theaters on December 6, 2025, Chhaava is expected to be one of the year's biggest releases. However, it will face stiff competition at the box office, clashing with the highly anticipated Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule. This marks Vicky Kaushal’s second major box office clash, following Sam Bahadur, which competed with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal.
