Bollywood Actor Irrfan Khan took to twitter to reveal that he is suffering from neuroendocrine tumour. He had earlier tweeted that he was suffering from a rare disease and had asked the supporters to not speculate regarding the same. Despite that there were many rumours surrounding his health. Today the actor quoted "As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain." Irrfan Khan will be travelling abroad for treatment.

What is Neuroendocrine tumour? Neuroendocrine tumour (also known as NET) is a condition where abnormal tissue growth arises in the hormone-producing cells of the body’s neuroendocrine system. Neuroendocrine cells are found throughout the body in organs such as the lungs and gastrointestinal tract, including the stomach and intestines. Whether or not the tumour is serious depends on if it is benign or malignant.
