Bob Biswas: Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to congratulate Abhishek Bachchan and Bob Biswas team for finishing shoot on time.

Abhishek Bachchan has wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming film Bob Biswas. The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. It is directed by filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh's daughter Diya Annapurna Ghosh. Sujoy has written the film.

Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to thank the team of Bob Biswas for wrapping up the shooting of the film on time, even in these testing times. The cast and crew of every film have to follow certain guidelines on the sets to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Despite these hurdles, Bob Biswas team wrapped up the shoot on time. Thanking the team, Shah Rukh wrote, "How wonderful. Thank you all for being so professional and getting the job done even in these testing times. Lots of love and luck to all of you (sic)."

Bob Biswas was the character in Vidya Balan-starrer Kahaani, which hit the theatres on March 9, 2012. In the film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Bob is a contract killer. He lives a dual life of an under-performing insurance agent and a contract killer. Saswata Chatterjee played the role of Bob Biswas in the film.

The character of Bob Biswas wasn't fleshed out in Kahaani, but Saswata's performance left such a huge impact on the audience that the makers decided to give the character his very own film. 

In the new film, however, Abhishek Bachchan will be seen playing the Bob Biswas.
