A team of the BMC posted a notice at actor Kangana Ranaut's Mumbai office, pointing out alterations undertaken there without the civic body's approval.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has served Kangana Ranaut with a ‘stop work’ notice, a day after the actor expressed apprehension that they may demolish her office ‘Manikarnika Films ’ in Pali Hill area of Bandra.
Kangana Ranaut had on Monday shared videos of the BMC officials at her office as the team inspected the property.
The BMC issued a notice to Kangana Ranaut under Section 354(A) of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act. BMC officials were seen pasting the notice on Kangana Ranaut’s office gate on Tuesday morning.

The notice pointed out over a dozen alterations in the bungalow, like a 'toilet being converted into office cabin' and 'new toilets being constructed alongside staircase’.
The notice also added that Kangana Ranaut has to give permission details to the BMC within 24 hours. If she defies the notice, the BMC officials could go ahead and demolish Kangana Ranaut’s office, officials said.
As per the notice, Kangana Ranaut has to provide all permission documents for construction and renovation of her office immediately in the next 24 hours. No work can be carried out at the site, the BMC said.
“If you fail to stop the execution of work forthwith or if stopped and fail to produce permission within 24 hours, I shall under Section 354(A) and in the exercise of powers and functions conferred upon me as aforesaid without any further notice cause the said building or work to be removed or pulled down, at your risk and cost,” the notice read.
On developments, Kangana Ranaut tweeted, "Because of the criticism that @mybmc received from my friends on social media, they didn’t come with a bulldozer today instead stuck a notice to stop leakage work that is going on in the office, friends I may have risked a lot but I find immense love and support from you all."

On Monday, Kangana Ranaut shared videos of BMC officials at her office premises in Mumbai and said the team may demolish the property.
Stating that she has done nothing illegal on her property, Kangana Ranaut said BMC should show the illegal construction with a notice.
"They have forcefully taken over my office measuring everything, also harassing my neighbours," she tweeted. "I am informed tomorrow they are demolishing my property," Kangana added.
The civic body, however, on Monday said the visit by its officials was part of a regular exercise undertaken to keep a tab on illegal constructions in suburban Bandra where her office is located.
