This cop-thriller based on a real-life incident tries to show the real side the fake encounter through a cop.
Described as ‘Inspired by true events labeled as untrue’,
The film is based on the true incident happened in 2008 in Delhi where a shootout took place in 2008, which was the encounters of alleged Indian Mujahideen terrorists in the Batla House locality of the national capital. Two suspected terrorists were reportedly gunned down in the September 2008 shootout, two others were arrested while one accused escaped.

The trailer shows the cop who was involved in the encounter portrayed by John Abraham as DCP Sanjay Kumar Yadav (based on the real-life character of Sanjeev Kumar Yadav) is accused of the fake encounter of two students and labeled as a 'monster'.
John Abraham tries to prove his innocence and sets out to trace the truth with usual Bollywood templates of romance, song routine, and an item song.
The film is written by Ritesh Shah who previously wrote Pink and Airlift.
This is Nikhil Advani's comeback film after Katti Batti (2015).
Produced by Monisha Advani, John Abraham, Madhu Bhojwani and Sandeep Leyzell, Batla House is currently slated for release on August 15.
