Ashish Vidyarthi, the National Award-winning actor, recently tied the knot with fashion entrepreneur Rupali Barua in an intimate ceremony held at a Kolkata club. Ashish, previously married to Rajoshi Barua, the daughter of actress Shakuntala Barua, found love with Rupali, a Guwahati native associated with a prominent fashion store in Kolkata.
The couple opted for a quiet registered marriage, surrounded by close family and friends. Reflecting on this new chapter in his life, Ashish Vidyarthi expressed his joy, stating, "Getting married to Rupali at this stage of my life is an extraordinary feeling. We had a court marriage in the morning, followed by a small evening gathering." When asked about how they met, Ashish playfully mentioned it as a long story that he would share another time. Rupali added that they met some time ago and decided to take their relationship forward, but both desired a modest family affair for their wedding.
The wedding ceremony beautifully blended the cultures represented by Ashish and Rupali. Rupali adorned a stunning white mekhela chador, a traditional attire from Assam, while Ashish complemented her in a white and gold Mundu from Kerala. Rupali's exquisite gold jewelry drew inspiration from south Indian temple art. Her makeup showcased a simple dewy look, with her hair elegantly tied up in a bun adorned with fresh flowers, as shared by her stylist Rajat. Following the wedding, a formal reception was held to celebrate the union.
