'Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha' is trending big time on Twitter over the past few weeks ahead of its release. The film, starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, is one of the most-talked-about films this year and the social media buzz has grabbed everyone’s attention. Senior actor Kharaj Mukherjee has shared his views on trolls attacking the film.

The actor said that social media hatred can’t damage a film with good intention. “People eagerly wait for an Aamir Khan film and when his films release it’s a treat for all. Yes, his last film didn’t work well at the box office but this time like anyone else I also have high hope about Laal Singh Chaddha. It’s one of the most-anticipated films in recent times. Please don’t ruin a good film. I would request all to first watch it in theatres then judge the film. Social media has become a hunting ground for negative-minded people these days. They simple target anyone without any justified reason. Grow up people. Making a film involves a lot of people's hard work. So, you can't just ignore all these people who have given their best for a big-budget film,” urged Kharaj, who’s has been one of the most respected actors in Tollywood for years.

Interestingly, there’s no specific reason as to why 'Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha' is trending on twitter. Some are suggesting that perhaps the film is getting targeted on social media for comments that Aamir Khan made about India a few years ago.

In fact, Aamir himself spoke about it recently. When asked if these things against his film make him angry or upset, the celebrated actor said that he feels "sad". Speaking to a news daily, the superstar said that maybe some people who are doing this believe that Aamir doesn't like India. But this is completely wrong. The popular actor feels this is rather unfortunate that people feel that way. He has also requested cine lovers not to boycott his film.

'Laal Singh Chaddha' is the official remake of Hollywood classic 'Forrest Gump'. The film will see Aamir as a simple, kind man, originally played by Tom Hanks' in the 1994 iconic film. It also has Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh, and Chaitanya Akkineni in key roles. The Advait Chandan directorial is set to release in theatres on August 11.
