Aamir Khan as 'desi' Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is considered as one of the best films of Tom Hanks and the actor got Academy Award for the Best Actor for this film.

Aamir Khan is planning to step in Tom Hank’s shoes by starring in its Indian version called Lal Singh Chaddha.

The 1994 film is based on the novel Forrest Gump which is written by Winston Groom.

The story depicts several decades in the life of Forrest Gump (Hanks), a slow-witted but kind-hearted man from Alabama who witnesses and, unwittingly, influences, several defining historical events in the 20th century in the United States.

Previous Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindustan was a commercial disaster and the actor was heavily criticized for his movie choice.

Let’s see if this upcoming film brings back the star again in the successful film list.
